Invite your team and set roles
How do I add users to DNSMentor?
Admin → Users & roles → Invite. Choose a role — Viewer, Junior engineer, Senior engineer or Tenant administrator — and DNSMentor emails an invitation. Viewers are not billed, so account managers and service desk staff who only need to see evidence cost nothing.
# The roles
- Viewer — reads the estate, changes and evidence. Cannot compose or apply. Not billed.
- Junior engineer — composes and submits changes; apply rights depend on skill level.
- Senior engineer — applies and approves within policy.
- Tenant administrator — everything, plus providers, users, branding and billing.
# If you use Microsoft Entra ID
On the Practice tier, turn on single sign-on and users arrive through your directory instead. Offboarding then happens where it should — disabling the account in Entra removes access immediately, rather than depending on somebody remembering to remove them here.
